Mountain Riddles for Summit Seekers

I touch the sky with a snow-dusted crown. Climb my switchbacks up and down.

I’m the path that zigzags higher still. Follow my cairns with patient will.

I twist through granite with water so cold. Sip me fast before I grow bold.

I’m white and wild, drifting in storms. Bundle up tight when I change forms.

I echo your words across the divide. Yell to the cliffs and hear them reply.

I grow close to the ground in green little mats. I hug the tundra where thin air chats.

I clack together in balanced stacks. Hikers build me marking tracks.

I soar with wings on the watchful breeze. My keen eyes spot the tiniest tease.

I crash and rumble with thunderous might. When I let go, hold to the right.

I cling to cliffs with nimble hooves. Leap with me where the ledge approves.

I shield your face from frosty sting. Pull me up tight with a zipper ring.

I warm your hands with cocoa delight. Sip me slow on a starry night.

I chart the twists of granite and shale. Unfold me quick before winds prevail.

I flicker above in a shimmering dance. Watch me waltz if you get the chance.
